More Details
The IgNITE Medical Case Competition is an annual research case competition organized by students at the University of Ottawa. Our mission is to provide high school and university students the opportunity to gain valuable research experience while networking with industry professionals. Each year the competition asks students, in teams of 1-4, to develop and present a novel research proposal within the specified theme of the competition. This year’s theme was Regenerative Medicine and competitors learned about Immunofluorescence, Western Blot, and CRISPR-Cas9.
On February 27th, the top 40 teams will present the culmination of their work at our international virtual conference. Additionally, we have invited several esteemed keynote speakers including, Dr. Duncan Steward, Dr. Dave Williams, Dr. Catherine Tsilfidis, and Ph.D. candidate David Cook to speak on their career paths, research, and keys to success in medicine and research.
As an IgNITE delegate, you will have the unique opportunity to network with our panel of industry leading judges, like-minded individuals from across North America, and directors of industry leading organizations and academic institutions. You will learn how to get involved in research right from the get-go and this conference will look amazing on your CV!
