I joined IgNITE mainly due to my love for science and my interest in research. I think IgNITE is such a great way to give students the opportunity to expand their knowledge and gain valuable research skills that they otherwise may not have the chance to do. Throughout my role, I hope to make connections with likeminded individuals and gain even more experience in the research field!

I liked that the case competition promotes innovation and creativity in STEM. As a participant of last year's case competition I understand and value the collaborative, organizational and communication skills myself and my teammates developed by the end of our IgNITE journey. Although we did not make it very far in the competition the experience alone was extremely fulfilling. Afterall, many of today's discoveries began with a few people who decided to think outside of the box.

I joined ignite to connect with my community in a meaningful way and to utilize this unique opportunity to help educate students and encourage them to apply their interests and achieve their full potential.
